Fujifilm Italy's Medical Informatics area, which has developed this software already adopted in numerous hospitals in Europe, is proud of this result. In fact, Synapse Dose in its recent 2.0 evolution is a product that expresses the philosophy of the company, which has always placed the well-being of people at the center of its research. Optimizing the impact that radiation has on their organs, which are sometimes already debilitated by the disease, is really our mission. Ultimately, Synapse Dose is an easy-to-use operational support for the radiologist and an effective tool for improving patient clinical safety.
Fabio Santambrogio, manager of Fujifilm Italia's Medical Informatics Research & Development Unit, comments on the communication of the choice of Synapse Dose 2.0 as semi-finalist for the Eurominnies award:
The selection of Synapse Dose certifies the high level of innovation the technological choices made for the development and deployment of the software, as well as the intrinsic quality of the products made in Italy by Fujifilm for the global market. These factors translate directly into the added value guaranteed to health professionals for the performance of their specialist tasks. Being in the Best New Radiology Software category for the 2021 award makes us happy and proud: it is a further recognition for the high level of professionalism and skills that characterize Fujifilm Italia's Medical Informatics team, whose scope extends from R&D to the Business Unit.
Synapse Dose is a complete system for monitoring and managing the radiation data to which the patient is exposed during imaging-based diagnostic tests. Synapse Dose provides support for optimizing radiological procedures and image acquisition protocols; helps operators in performing clinical audits and interactively presents the patient's complete dosimetric history. Synapse Dose is also used by the Medical Physicist to automatically and quickly analyze large amounts of data, eliminating the need to manually retrieve information from individual DICOM images of diagnostic tests.
